2025 Missouri Open Offers Early Friday Play
/The 2025 Missouri Open has announced May 2-3, 2025, as the dates for the sixth edition of this popular nine-wicket tournament to be held at the residence of Greg and Joni Clouse in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, in the Kansas City metro area. With the growing number of entries since the event moved to Lee’s Summing in 2023, the Missouri Open will offer the option for players to get in block games on Friday to ensure an on-time finish on Saturday.
ENTRY FEE:
$40 / $30 for MCA Members
ENTRY DEADLINE:
Monday, April 21, 2025.
The tournament will again operate with three courts and the event will be part of the 2025 MCA tournament series. Changes are on deck for the MCA tournament series with two additional events in the midwest having made verbal commitments to be included in the 2025 series. At this point, final dates are being worked on for those events before an official announcement is made. The modified series will include additional codes of croquet and the point system will be modified to accommodate the differences in wicket scoring.
The Missouri Open expects to have enough entries to offer play in Pro, Gold and Silver Divisions. A minimum of four players is required for each division to operate as a standalone. If either division is short of players, it is possible that block play will be combined. As a note for USCA members, the MCA’s divisions align with USCA flights as follows:
PRO Division: Championship Flight
GOLD Division: First Flight
SILVER Division: Second Flight
BRONZE Division: Third Flight
